Live Scan Fingerprinting

The first requirement for coaching in Santa Susana Baseball is a Live Scan fingerprint / background check. If you have been live scanned through Santa Susana Baseball in the past, you do not need to do so again. To get live scanned take the form (link below) to a live scan facility (link to locations below).

Required Training
Player safety is a top priority in PONY. All Vacaville Pony coaches and managers must complete online concussion training and cardiac arrest training, and present their certificates of completion prior to the draft. This certification must be renewed every year.

Know the Rules

Managers and coaches are responsible for knowing the rules of the game. Pony baseball is played by MLB rules, except where modified by PONY national rules or our local rules.

Accident/Injury Report

Accidents must be reported to the league President and/or Secretary immediately after the accident (via the Manager's GroupMe Chat). The Manager must then submit the complete Accident/Injury report within 24 hours and email info@santasu.com notifying the league of completion.

Field Care
All teams are expected to work together to take care of our fields, in an effort to keep the game fun, fair and safe. Many coaches are not familiar with field care. We're always willing to help train, and here are some helpful videos about infield care and prep:
